Dr Leon Larcher is a PhD candidate at Centre for Molecular Medicine & Innovative Therapeutics (CMMIT), Murdoch University. His PhD research focuses on understanding the effects of genetic mutations in the C9ORF72 gene, and the development of novel nucleic acid therapeutics (DNAzymes, Antisense oligonucleotides (AOs)) for the treatment of C9ORF72-ALS.
