Dr. Khan Collins is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health and forensic settings. He currently holds public sector roles in the Department of Psychiatry at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the North Metropolitan outpatient DBT program, and consults in private practice. He is also an approved supervisor for the Psychology Board of Australia. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Collins is actively involved in research with particular interest in the areas of neurobiology, psychological medicine, and integrative approaches to enhancing mental and physical health outcomes. He has published peer-reviewed articles on women’s antepartum expectations of motherhood, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, resilience in suicide, and the role of mindfulness in mental health.
