Research group
Dr Aleks Miljevic is an Early Career Researcher within the Brain Plasticity Research Group lead by Associate Professor Jennifer Rodger. She has clinical trial experience in mental health populations and as a result of her PhD, where she conducted innovative research in individuals with depression investigating the relationship between changes in the way the brain communicates and how this relates to treatment response. She has worked with a range of experts (psychiatrists, data statisticians, and healthcare professionals) to improve the quality of biomarker measurement for the prediction of non-invasive brain stimulation treatment response. Aleks is a lead coordinator for the WA TMS Network and she is now dedicating her experience and skills to a large youth mental health focused project at the Perron Institute. Her project aims to transform the youth mental health landscape through a unique focus on personalised care, increased treatment options, and increased community engagement, awareness, and education.
