Western Australia’s Perron Institute has recently appointed two non-Executive Directors, each with an impressive record of achievement in their fields of expertise.

Paul Anderson has 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on developing medical products and the translation of intellectual property to address unmet clinical needs.

As Managing Director and co-founder of Orthocell Ltd, a publicly listed regenerative medicine company, he leads the development and commercialisation of advanced cellular therapies and collagen scaffold technologies targeting musculoskeletal repair.

“With our plans to expand the commercialisation potential of our research, the appointment of Paul Anderson is timely,” said Perron Institute Chair, Rob McKenzie.

“Paul is an entrepreneurial and high achieving leader with an impressive track record in strategic planning, financial oversight and securing investment. This expertise, coupled with a long-standing commitment to the advancement of regenerative medicine and transforming research discoveries into accessible therapeutic products, will be of valuable assistance.”

Most recently appointed Director, Peter Cutler, brings to the Board over thirty years of senior leadership experience in banking, finance and organisational management across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.

His career includes regional executive roles with Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, where he advised major corporates and financial institutions on complex acquisitions, long-term capital strategy and bond issuance.

With an extensive contemporary network across industries in Asia Pacific, Mr Cutler also has experience overseeing large-scale institutional and commercial risk portfolios through periods of significant global economic uncertainty.

Now based in Perth, he contributes his expertise to several advisory and leadership boards and sporting organisations, including for over a decade, the Western Australian Cricket Association.

“Peter Cutler’s wide-ranging experience, well demonstrated strengths in client relationship management and team leadership, plus his community and international connections will be of great value to the Perron Institute Board as we navigate long-horizon investment, funding partnerships and regulatory complexity,” Rob McKenzie said.
