Research group
Yu Heng is a PhD candidate in the Terahertz and Optical Technology group. His research focuses on probing solvated biomolecules with terahertz radiation to improve our understanding of their biochemistry, with the aim of exploring the potential of terahertz in cancer diagnosis and therapy. His work includes the publication of the article “Reproducibility of Terahertz Peaks in a Frozen Aqueous solution of 5-Mehtylcytidine” in the Journal of Infrared, Millimetre, and Terahertz Waves. Prior to starting his PhD candidature, Yu Heng was employed as an Electrical & Instrument Engineer in the chemical manufacturing sector and held diverse roles from R&D to project management.
