Janice is a PhD candidate in the Brain Plasticity Lab at the Perron Institute. Her research focuses on utilising neuromodulation therapies, particularly through repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), in the treatment of youth mental ill-health. Her project, which will have a strong emphasis on community-engagement and understanding patient perspectives, aims to determine and improve upon the safety and efficacy of current rTMS treatment protocols for depression, as well as present an alternative treatment option for youth depression, in the form of rTMS.
