Dr Sivarajini “Rajini” Rajanayagam is a consultant neurologist with broad expertise across general neurology, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders and motor neurone disease. She provides neurological care across Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the Perron Institute where she contributes to several specialist clinics. 

Dr Rajanayagam completed her initial medical and specialist training in Sri Lanka before undertaking further training in Western Australia. She holds specialist qualifications in neurology and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. 

Her clinical practice brings together expertise across several complex and progressive neurological conditions. Within the Movement Disorders Clinic, she contributes to the management of conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia, including complex cases requiring advanced therapies. Her work in multiple sclerosis is supported by multidisciplinary teams that connect specialist medical care with nursing, allied health, research and access to clinical trials. 

Dr Rajanayagam’s breadth of experience enables her to consider each person’s condition within the wider context of their symptoms, function and quality of life. Her approach centres on clear diagnosis, coordinated care and helping people and families navigate complex neurological conditions with confidence and continuity.
