Study Aim Description

The Neuropharmacogenetics project is recruiting young adults with a lived experience of depression and/or anxiety. The aim is to gain a better understanding of the youth mental health, and improve treatment outcomes. You will be asked to share your opinion about treatment outcomes, medications, and your perceptions of individualised medication, based on how you metabolise each drug. You will be invited to attend a focus group session for approximately 1 hour, and will be compensated for your time.

Study Eligibility

  • 18-24 years of age
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Able to give informed consent to attend one of the focus group sessions
  • Have been prescribed medication by your GP or psychiatrists for treatment of depression and/or anxiety
