Local runners and walkers will take in sweeping views of the Swan River and Perth skyline when the West Australian Marathon Club’s Perron Institute Bridges Fun Run returns this Sunday, 19 April. The annual event is a celebration of fitness and community spirit.
Participants of all ages are invited to lace up their sneakers while also supporting an important local cause.
Proceeds from the event will go towards vital youth mental health research, helping to improve outcomes and improve the lives of Western Australians affected by mental health conditions.
Two in five young Australians are living with a mental health disorder, and for many, standard treatments are not effective.
Research at the Perron Institute is driving personalised medicine to deliver more effective care.
Through the Perron Institute’s support of the Bridges Fun Run, funds raised contribute to exploring new treatments and therapies, offering potential life-changing outcomes for young Australians suffering from mental health conditions.
Open to people of all ages and abilities, the event encourages families, friends and solo participants to get involved. Whether it’s a relaxed walk along the scenic course or a more competitive run, there is an option for everyone, including 10km and 5km distances, as well as a 0.3km Kids Dash for younger runners.
Online registrations close on Thursday, 16 April 2026, unless sold out prior.
