A Senior Research Fellow in the in the School of Anatomy, Physiology and Human Biology at the University of Western Australia, Stuart Hodgetts has worked extensively in the field of cell based-transplantation therapies since 1998. After periods as a postdoctoral scientist at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and UWA, Stuart has changed the direction of his research to focus his expertise on spinal cord repair using adult mesenchymal precursor and induced pluripotent stem cells, as well as gene therapy and non-invasive therapies. He continues to work with colleagues in the USA and Australia in these important areas of research.
