Science on the Swan 2019 

Science on the Swan 2019 is happening from 5-7 June and the theme is:
“Neuroscience & The Senses – Healthy Ageing across the Life Course”.

Professor Steve Wilton, Director of the Perron Institute, Professor Gary Geelhoed, Executive Director of WAHTN, Chris Whitelock, Chief Operating Officer of Lions Eye Institute and Sandra Bellekom, CEO Ear Science Institute Australia will Co-Chair the 2019 Conference.

Professor Wilton is chairing the third session on the first day: “Diseases and the senses”, Professor Lindy Fitzgerald, head of Neurotrauma Research at the Perron Institute and Curtin University, is presenting a talk on “Myelin vulnerability and altered function following neurotrauma”, and PhD student Jessica Cale from the Molecular Therapy lab, is presenting a talk on Marfan Sundrome caused by Exon 59 Mutations.

Dr Michael Mosley of the “Clever guts diet” fame is presenting the opening lecture.

The conference will move into the city this year, at the new 5-star hotel, The Westin Perth.
