Zahra Cooper coordinates the Youth Mental Health research projects, focusing on patient, community, and stakeholder engagement through qualitative and mixed-methods research. With over 10 years of experience in clinical and hospital research coordination, she has successfully managed projects that inform evidence-based practices and guidelines in patient engagement.

Her postgraduate research focused on patient engagement, giving her a nuanced understanding of the complexities in this field. Zahra has extensive experience working with participants from culturally and linguistically diverse, and First Nations populations. She is adept at capturing the experiences and perspectives of diverse patient groups through methods such as interviews, focus groups, yarning circles, naturalistic observations, and validated surveys, contributing to comprehensive and inclusive research outcomes. Additionally, she has experience managing randomised clinical trials and conducting various psychological assessments.

Zahra has managed large multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams, collaborating and building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. She is committed to enhancing patient and participant engagement, improving health research quality, and contributing to better health outcomes for all.
