PACTRIMS (MS) 2019 conference
The Demyelinating Diseases Research group at the Perron Institute and some of their collaborators were represented at the international meeting of the Pan-Asian Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (PACTRIMS) in Singapore this month.
Professor Allan Kermode, who heads the group, said the meeting was an important forum for them to expand their collaborations and work. They had ten abstracts accepted, and of those Drs Marzena Fabis-Pedrini, Stephanie Trend and Xiaonan Zhong all had abstracts accepted as first author (Dr Zhong as equal first author).
MSWA Research Fellow, Dr Fabis-Pedrini, delivered an excellent platform presentation which stimulated much interest and discussion. Dr Stephanie Trend was also awarded the prestigious “PACTRIMS Young Investigator Award” for her poster.
Congratulations Dr Trend and all involved!
