Professor Elaine Holmes is a Premier’s Fellow in Phenomics and Professor of Computational Science at Murdoch University.
Professor Holmes arrived in Perth from Imperial College in London in 2019. She will play a key role in the Australian National Phenome Centre at Murdoch. A computational biologist by background, Professor Holmes has over 20 years experience in metabolomic technology and its applications. Her focus is on the discovery and development of metabolomic biomarkers of disease in personalised healthcare and population studies. Her current interests include the role of the gut microbiome in neuropathology.
