The Perron Institute is excited to announce the appointment of Denise Cheir as its newly appointed Director of Marketing and Fundraising. Denise has held leadership and management roles for high profile brands in the public and private sectors.

Her extensive experience includes fundraising, marketing, communications, community engagement, commercial negotiation and corporate governance.

Perron Institute CEO Steve Arnott said that as the institute entered a new stage in its development, this new appointment was an important step.

“The wide-ranging experience Denise brings to her new role and her well demonstrated dynamic approach will help achieve our goals as Western Australia’s leading centre for research in the neurosciences field,” he said.

Denise believes in combining innovation and collaboration to deliver meaningful brand impact for community benefit.

“Drawing on my corporate and big brand experience, I look forward to this opportunity to help grow the Perron Institute’s reputation as an international leader.

“I’m passionate about making a positive difference for people affected by neurological conditions around the world and in the lives of their families,” Denise Cheir said.

In 2018, Denise joined the Foundation for the WA Museum as Executive Manager Business and Communications. Previously, she spent twelve years at Crown Perth as General Manager Public Relations, and seven years at the Guernsey Tourist Board in the Channel Islands as head of Consumer Marketing.
