Trial Aim Description
Improvement of lung function, gait and mobility in Parkinson’s disease following Inspiratory Muscle Training.
Aged over 18 years, with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, have mild to moderate balance impairment though able to walk independently, reduced exercise tolerance. Participants will be recruited to undergo 8 weeks of High intensity IMT or 8 weeks of Sham IMT. After initial supervised training, participants will perform the 21-minute exercise program 3 times a week at home.
