Abigail Davies, a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers, has been practicing law for over 20 years.
Abigail is an arbitrator at WorkCoverWA and from 2011 to 2017 she was a senior sessional member of the State Administrative Tribunal. Abigail’s first five years of law were at Blake Dawson Waldron predominantly in Perth and also in Sydney. Other roles include Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at Barrick Gold of Australia for over 10 years, a litigation lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investment Commission, and assessor for the Anglican and Catholic churches. Abigail received both her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Relations) at the University of Western Australia, and her Master of Laws at Melbourne University in 2013. Abigail was also Non-executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Minerals & Energy Research Institute of WA, and a Board member for EMTECH; a not-for-profit that assists people with disabilities obtain and maintain employment.
